Frank’s Story

A Peoria Staple
Frank Abdnour's Peoria roots run deep. What began as a pushcart business on the Bradley University campus in 1984, soon turned into a Peoria area favorite: The Spotted Cow. Officially opening its doors in 1987, The Spotted Cow was owned and operated by Frank for 30 years.
Most notably, The Spotted Cow sat for 20 years on the main strip of Peoria Heights (current home of The Publik House). A move in 2005 to a larger building on Glen Ave. brought an expanded menu and larger footprint. In addition to prominent locations around Peoria, The Spotted Cow also operated for 15 years out of OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

Over the years, Frank and The Spotted Cow received numerous accolades, including Peoria Magazine's Forty Under Forty, IL Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year, multiple Peoria Journal Star Best of the Best awards, and Taste of Peoria's Best Dessert.
A New Era
Frank and family sold The Spotted Cow in 2017. Now, Frank is back to create a new food experience for Peoria residents. Joined by son Noah, the two are now offering Frank's Famous Italian Beef as well as other delicious items sure to be a hit. Daughter Sydney works behind the scenes facilitating marketing and promotional efforts. Frank knows family, and he intends to keep it that way.

Frank is excited to be back in Peoria Heights, eager to serve the Peoria area in the same place his success really took off. We hope to see you stop in soon!
